Ignoring the costs, which would be the better for rock and occaissional classical music:

New Dali Zensor 1's my 18year old Morden Short MS100's (weigh a ton, but I like them) ?

Many thanks.

No experience of the Dali Zensor 1s, but just be careful with those MS100s, they're quite rare and if in good condition worth a bit.

They were well regarded in their day, but being small sealed boxes need quite a bit of power. My first speakers were the MS15s, which were the downmarket version of the MS100s. Of course, what I really wanted was the MS100s (or MS300s), but they were way out of my reach back then.

I use the Zensor 1 with a Marantz CD6004/PM6003 combination.

The Zensors are way too good for the money. You get a tight, detailed, natural sound with just the right amount of bass.

Awesome speakers :)

Agreed. I had them at home for 2 days and they are way too good for their price. ;)
