Hi

Whats your budget and would you consider second hand?

I have the CD6003 and its a fantastic player for the money. True, i have very little Hifi experience as its in my first setup but its brilliant none the less with all types of music, its only being let down by its amp brother which Im going to change soon. I heard it compared to the more expensive SA7003 and really couldn't notice any difference between the two.

You could also consider the Rega Apollo, Ive never heard it but apparently its very close to being the best cd player under £500. Also the likes of Arcam's own CD192 if you can find one, plus it would keep the arcam synergy going. The NAD C545 is also worth looking at, particularly as there seem to be lots of offers around at the moment for it.

rega apollo, good punchy player and very musical. Should match well with the arcam kit you have.

i did look at the cd6003 a very good player, second hand is an option i have looked at the micromega stage 3.

budget is around £400,malky

You should be able to get a rega under your limit. Ive listened to both players and it wins.

Saying that though, if you can find (that is a big if) a arcam cd192, it will be a superior player to all of the ones at £400.

There are a few rega`s on the bay,so might just go for that.

The only thing you have to remember is that they are top loaders so if in a rack, will need to be on the top shelf or have some room above it.

They do look cool though!
