Is the new clearer audio alpha cable,the same cable as the copper line cable but without the more expensive 320i wattgate connecter and the in-line plug.replaced with cheaper plug and connecter instead. thanks.

Hello Dougie,

The Copper-line Alpha Power Cable does not use the same cable as the Copper-line Power Cable. However, the Copper-line Alpha draws heavily from the design and materials used in the Copper-line and one main aspect is that we have developed an improved version of the original Copper-line shielding system. Other aspects of the Copper-line are also utilised in the Copper-line Alpha. In terms of cable, in comparison to the Copper-line Alpha the Copper-line utilises higher purity larger gauge conductors with a more advanced shielding system. The connectors on the Copper-line Alpha were chosen after extensive testing and provide excellent performance: as in the Copper-line the Copper-line Alpha mains plug uses a silver-plated fuse holder and the same high-performance silver-plated fuse.
