I have just bought the 4K Sony KD49X8505 tv ( to replace my old Sony) and I already have the Sony BDP S790 , Sky + HD and a Denon 1909 Amp with KEF 3005SE speakers. In order to get the best pictures and sound from the blu ray and SKY what is the best way to connect all the devices to the TV / Amp ( using HDMI cables ) ?.

I'm assuming you're not interested in 3D and there are no 4K services except Netflix (and Sony has an app for that). In that case, connect everything to AV receiver via HDMI, and connect the AV receiver to TV via HDMI.

Thanks Big Boss. I was worried that with everything going through the oldish Denon Amp that it may not be suitable for 4K and 3D. In answer to your question - I will be wanting to watch 3D too - through the Blu ray and through Sky.

Thanks again - this is really helpful. Do I need any special HDMI cables to carry the 3D picture to the TV ?. Also, the 'ARC function' do I set that on the TV or the AMP ?

I have just bought the 4K Sony KD49X8505 tv and can not connect to the Netflix app to access the 4K contact.

I keep getting a network error code but there seems to be nothing wrong with the connection to my wireless broadband router.

Can anyone assist?

Many thanks!
