Need to make 4x ceiling speakers work from a hi-fi

I'm looking at buying this:

I need a CD player with the facility to play iPods. But I need this to work with 4x ceiling speakers. The unit comes with 2x speakers so is this possible to modify with some sort of splitter or do `i need to run through an amp?
