NEED new receiver!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi i currently own yam rvx 1400 (no hd audio so it has to go)

Panasonic 757i dvd (which has just stopped working)

Panasonic bdp dm30 bluray which makes a horrible noise, and takes a lifetime to load discs

Acoustic Energy evo 5.1 (sub, waste of time!!)

Have found onkyo 3007 for £800 or am i better off with getting a 2010 model, (same money, maybe different make, model)

gonna upgrade speakers to either MA rx6 av12 or MA r90(radius) but with the asw12 sub, Speaker choice depends on what the other half allows!! i know which i would go for.

Maybe will be building (I'm a builder) a dedicated cinema room on side of house so need an amp that is flexible and has the power as would like 7.2 config. room will be approx 5m x 6m

I may be interested in 3D (not sure yet??) if amp does not support it but blu player does is it just another cable to the display???

The Yamaha is serviceable yet. Since you need a new BD player anyway, I'd get one with analogue outs and use it to decode the HD soundtracks into the 6-channel in on the Yamaha.

Course, if you want to move up to 7.2, 3D blah blah, you can get an amp then...

thx for the reply, can you recommend a blu ray with in built decoder and which is reasonable with music, budget upto £500
