need advice setting up Sneaky DS

basically my wireless router is upstairs in the living room and my sneaky will be downstairs set up in my bedroom. will it be just a case of using a cat 5 ethernet cable connected between sneaky and laptop which will both be in bedroom and using the wireless router to do the streaming? obviously using twonky media and ripstation micro ds on my laptop. as you can prob tell i 'm a beginner

If they're connected directly, you may find wireless stops working (if my laptop is anything to go by). I would be more inclined to add a dedicated wireless access point for the sneaky - Airport Express is one, just FYI, though if you have an 'N' network that's not the best idea, and you should get an 'N' wireless extender or similar.
