Hi all,

Just bought a 7 channel power amp.

Will the Nad processer be significantly better than my Onkyo 875 preouts for 2 channel & 7 channel sound processing ?

The Nad is almost the only processor with FM/AM radio

Thanks Chewie

I have used the T163 for many years (now sat under the bed about to be sold) it is very good with stereo music and has a great built in DAC, newer products have better surround decoding but if you have a DVD/Blu ray player with built in decoding then you can't go wrong. (they cost about £300 econd hand)

Thanks for the reply,

Have a Pioneer BDP 71 so it decodes

Live in Aussie, someone is selling Nad for about $600 = 300 pounds

I can probably sell Onk for 1500 so am i going backwards in sound....

Thanks Chewie

Its a Elektra Theartron an Aussie amp. About 2000 pounds (4k aus) cost. 185w into 8 ohm, 370 into 4 ohm. Very good reveiws downunder. Been very impressed so far over 875 amp power. 875 is processor only. Very clean as power increases even Onkyo doesn't sound brash with music anymore. Still need to run in a few more hours before I try bluray.

Wife noticed difference immediatley even on fox sound

Cheers Chewie

You should be looking at a new proccessor then,

NAD T175 HD £1600, Marantz AV8003 £1700, Onkyo RP-SC886 £1400 or new PR-SC5507 £2000, Arcam AV888 £4,500,

Yes they cost alot more but with a £2k amp you can't get a cheap proccessor IMO.
