Nad d7050, best sound, usb or optical?

Hey guys.

Im thinkin of buying the nad d7050, which option would you think is the best sound quality wise? usb or optical?

I would expect that optical should be better than the USB. Optical and coaxial have a higher resolution (24/192) compared to the USB (24/96).

Get both cables.

You don't have to go ott price wise but a decent example of both types of cable and then you can compare.

If they sound the same to your ears.....at least you'll know.

Some DACs work better with ASIO async, some with the optical s/pdif connection.

I had a NAD C390DD for a while, and from memory I thought that was better using the USB connection. I can't hear the difference between a 24/96 and 24/192 (or CDA to be honest), so that was never a consideration for me. The dacmagic plus was much better using USB. The Chord Qute I tried out for a couple of weeks was the same whichever connection I used.
