Hi

Having recently upgrade my turnatable (Pro-ject Xpression MkIII) amplifier (Onkyo TX8255) and speakers (Morduant Short Mezzo 2) I now need to upgrade my CD player which is currently a 15 year old Yamaha CDX670.

I have up to £500 to spend at the most. I am torn between the NAD C545BEE and the Creek Evolution Evo which I can pick up for less than £400. Naturally the cheaper I can get either for the better!

Has anybody got any thoughts on either of the above or anything better for the price?

Thanks

had the nad c545 at home for demo - great player ! very lively, dynamic, sparkling (sorry - english is not my mother tongue,

describing the sound is quite difficult ;-) ). just one thing: The drawer does not open all the way - it opens almost
completely so that you have to hold the CD down to enter it - ALL of the NAD
C545s are like this.

I only did not keep the NAD because It did not match my Roksan K2 amp - I ordered the K2 player.

And you can get it for less than 400 gbp.
