Hello ! I want to replace my MARANTZ CD 5001 cd player , because I cannot support the Marantz harsh sounding highs (tiresome to listen with classical music) , and its unmusical sound . I use NAD amp. and Polkaudio Rti 6 speakers. I would prefer a smoother sound with rolled off highs. I suppose the NAD C515BEE would be better for this point of view. Can you have any experience with this player? Thank you for any suggestion

I haven't heard the C515BEE yet but if it is anything like my C521BEE it will be exactly what you are looking for. The NADs are far more musical players than the Marantz models IMO and I find NAD gear suits classical music extremely well as well as being excellent on those occasions when you want to listen to something a bit different.
