NAD C356BEE for 2 * 6ohm speakers

Hi All,

Was researching into new amps and was wondering if the C356BEE would be able to handle two sets of 6 ohm speakers? I'm slightly confused as the back of the amp states 8ohm minimum with 2 pairs, but was wondering whether this is for when they are both turned on? I'll only ever have one set of speakers on at any one time, so was wondering if the "one pair" limit of 4 ohm would apply for my setup?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you are only going to use one pair at a time, then the amp will only 'see' one pair of speakers, so this will be absolutely fine.

In fact a solid, well built amp like the Nad would probably drive both pairs at the same time providing you did not indulge in long sessions of high powered listening, in which case the Nad might well overheat and switch off.
