Hello Guys,

My name is Tsetso and I am from Bulgaria,

recently I bought good amp i guess :) - NAD C350 (2x60W power)...it's a bit old but in perfect condition. I am very happy with it.

So now it plays with KEF Q35...the detial is good, the treble is perfect the bottom end is ok, sometimes even it goes very low.

But I do not get the feeling of fullness or maybe let's say the room is not so full with sound. Onestly I think that the speakers are bit bright for me.

The room is with size: 16*13 feet

Music I listen to: mostly Jazz, sometimes alternative, metal and electronic.

Could you suggest good speaker match for the NAD C350. I am seeking for neutral sound if possible with this amp :) I prefer Floorstanders.

Thank you

I used to have a Nad 314 amp (30wpc) matched with a pair of Acoustic Energy Evo 3 floorstanders in a room 17 x 15 feet. Very nice sound and certainly seemed to have enough power to fill the room, for me anyway. I thought they were very good for jazz as they are quite smooth, but can be quite bassy. They were £350 at the time, but they're 8 or 9 years old now so you might be able to get a pair quite cheap. I'm listening to them now and I still love them.

Hi i have previously owned a C350, replaced it with a rotel ra05se, im no expert but would like to pass on my experience with that amp.

Let me first say its a great amp, The nad sound is big bass all nads have their in house bass sound, i used mine with a number of speakers over the years i found the nad to work well with Monitor audio br2 and br5's But what i found most interesting despite what recent posts have to say i found my speaker cable with the nad to be a big factor in sound quality. I found Black rhodium to be best suited to the nad bass sound i experimented with various cable from chord to QED

My point is i found the nad to be great with most speakers it will drive almost any load with that big power supply (torodial transformer NAD make their own)

So if you can try your amp with Blackrhodium jive if single wire or B.R Tango Bi-wire i found huge benefits the Timing and bass improved over others i found QED Silver Ann very bright .

Hope ths helps you can pick up some monitor Audio BR2's or Br5' if you have the room for a bargain on ebay, i also found wharfdale diamonds love the NAD

SORRY SO MY POINT IS TRY YOUR SPEAKERS WITH A NEW CABLE BEFORE YOU SPENT ON NEW SPEAKERS, THEY MAY SOUND BRIGHT LIKE I FOUND WITH THE QED ANN. SPEAKER CABLE CHEERS ROB

I can shurely agree about the cable - my cable now is very bad... I bought it an year ago and did not look at it cause my system then was horrible...now what i can see is that the cable is with transparent cover, then one of the wires is red like it is copper, but i think it is only on the top of the surface, the cores seems dark...and the other wire is grey :) dam chinise cable. the good thing is that the amp is bi-wired and the wires are 2x4mm2. but still it is chinise...in the shop where i bought the NAD i saw this: Norstone CL400...what about biwiring with it?

it will cost me 30 ponds... if still the same will try new speakers :)

Try the new cable i would recommend bi-wire some say it does not make any difference , i believe it does, but it is down to cost, a cheap bi-wire will not sound as good as a good single wire,

Im not familiar with that cable, can you get some Blackrhodium where you live, i strongly recomend it, i tryed so many cables with my nad, it needs a good cable (around £8 a metre)

if the cable makes no difference then you havent spent to much and the new cable will be good for your new speakers should you upgrade them

but which model did you try of this Blackrhodium?

the cable i want to buy is this: http://www.norstone-design.com/en/model/70_Classic.html

it's 99'99% copper 2x4mm2

there are some silver plated - they might be better?
