Hello,
I am buying an amp. I have two options.
To buy a set of power amp NAD c270 and amp NAD c370 or one Rotel RA-1062.
If it would be one, just integrated amp NAD c370, I think I should would go for Rotel, but in this case NAD power amp and amp will be used together. So I don't know what would perform better, two Nads or one Rotel RA-1062
What would be your opinion? What option would you choose?
I would be really grateful for your advice and help on this matter.
Music I listen to is classic rock, blues rock, rock, metal.

Hi, looking back some 20 years ago was Rotel RA-1062 winner of several comparison tests over e.g. Roksan, Creek, Arcam. It has very good build quality, amp is well equiped, sound is crisp, fast and full of control. Recommended speakers will be something like Monitor Audio Bronze. Nad c370 is a monster, big amp with some reliability issues. I will take Rotel and search for very good more sensitive speakers, to sound its best. Rotel made also matching very good CD player with similar design like 1062 amp. BR.

The C370 was very well-reviewed - had one for a few years. My brother still uses it with a 270 and Tannoy R3 speakers. I'm not sure that bi-amping gives great gains in this case though.
I should have mentioned, that I would bridge the NAD's.
The question is would bridging them give a better sound quality than Rotel Ra 1062.

Really hard to say, and only your ears would be the real judge - I guess demoing one or both would be problematic. You'd need some pretty hard-to-drive speakers to need as much power as bridged 370/270 combo could drive, I would imagine.

Is the cost for the 370/270 combined similar to the Rotel on its own?
Yes , price is similar. To be sure, the price is exactly the same. I also was thinking about nad 2400/3020a combined.
I asked AI , here its answer. I don't now if I should believe it.

Power: The NAD 2400 setup offers the most power, followed by the C270 and C370. The Rotel RA-1062 has significantly less power, which affects its ability to handle dynamic rock music.

Dynamics and Bass Control: Both NAD setups excel in dynamics and bass control, particularly the 2400/3020A, making them more suitable for hard rock and metal compared to the Rotel.

Sound Signature: The Rotel is clearer and more neutral, which works well for certain rock genres, but it lacks the warmth and impact of the NAD setups, especially in high-energy contexts.

Overall Engagement: For rock and metal, the NAD 2400 with 3020A is the best choice, followed by the C270 and C370. The Rotel RA-1062 is more suited for softer rock and less demanding
