NAD 326BEE or Marantz PM6003?

Hi,

Just getting back into my music and looking for buy a reasonable amp and speakers to run off my iPhone (using the Arcam dock maybe?) and a Media Centre with MP3's of around 320Kbps. As always, first stop for me is What HiFi and looking around on the net. For the amp I like the look of the NAD 326 and the Marantz 6003 but struggling to choose between them. I'd be pairing it with something like the Dali Lektor 2's, Wharfedale 10.1's or something around that price range. No intention to add CD at the moment.

I would appreciate comments/views as I really am quite out of touch. I prefer a gutsy/bassy sound but appreciate it's only a system for my spare bedroom so I am reaslistic.

I would suggest that you opt for the NAD C326BEE. Speakers worth also considering are Monitor Audio's BR2.

I audtioned both these amps yesterday. i thought the NAD sounded better. sevenoaks hifi are offering some decent deals if you buy amps with speakers. i heard them with B&W CM1's. if you have the patience you might want to order in the Arcaydis DM1s. see the what hi fi review.

Thanks Sonos. I am just on the way to a couple of shops to have a look at these units. SSAV is a bit of a trek for me unfortunately. The DM1's look good but nervious more about the company that the speakers to be honest. I have this months WHF and I've had a good read of the DM1 review and the Systems Supertest
