My system (very much in progress)

After lurking here for quite some time, and getting some great advice over at the HiFi parts of these forums I decided I´d share my system in progress with you guys.

Apologies for the low quality pictures, my iPhone just does not take any better and I have recently sold my digital camera and am still on the lookout for a new one.

What you see:

• Cyrus 8vs2 Amp
• Dynaudio Excite X16 speakers - Rosewood veneer
• Van Den Hull 'The Name' interconnect
• Van Den Hull 112 (if I remember correctly) speaker cable
• Logitech Squeezebox Duet (main source of music at the moment)
• Toshiba XD-E500 Dvd-player (great picture performance and plays the occasional cd, but it does so badly)
• Sony 32V4500
• Philips Ambilight
• Nintendo Wii (I rarely use it, only for a bit of Fifa '09 once in a while, but my girl loves it)

Future plans involve getting a good DAC, got three on my shortlist: DACmagic, V-DAC and Beresford 7520. And I'm looking to score a bargain on a nice 2nd hand cd-player, dreaming of a cheap Primare, Naim or Rega.

Now I can only hope the pictures show.

Smart system, i love those Cyrus 8vs2, and those atacama stands, have some myself although redundant

You are using the same interconnect as me...good choice

Btw i would recommend the DacMagic, I got it the other day, and the music/audio is far more vivid, and entertaining dont let the price tag put you off.

Demoed a DACmagic and V-Dac past week, but neither really convinced me of their worth. After a quick look at the forums it seems I'm the only one who doesn't get blown away...

I've also been scouting my local dealers looking for a nice 2nd hand cd-player. The matching Cyrus 8vs2 cd-p is way too expensive for my taste.
