my plasma went pop!!!

Hi everyone

Can someone help, I was watching my plasma earlier today when a loud pop came from it and the picture went off

- the sound still works

Has anyone any idea if this is a serious problem and is it something that happens to plasmas - the tv is about 4 years old

I'll be honest, it sounds bad. Suggest a call to retailer if still in warranty or repairer if not...

Mmmm sorry to hear. I hope it's still under warranty that's all I can say. Mine's still pretty new and I dread anything like that happening... I hope it can be fixed.

No it's not under warrenty anymore - thats why I wandered if anyone new if it was serious as most modern electrical items can be cheaper to buy new than repair.

Looks like I might have to go creeping to the bank - the goverments given them plenty of money recently!!
