Ha ha! yeah, it's not ideal, but it is only temporary. Is it that bad, then Chebbs? I thought the sorbathane feet under the MDF would absorb the vibrations. I thought about wall mounting (i've been offered the one you linked to, weirdly, for £20) but the old victorian walls of my house are powdery, the shelf would get pulled out of the wall.

Cheers, Maxxie. You can never have too many dogs!!

Nicely organised set-up you got there. Concerned about what marks those weights are going to leave on you sub and speakers cabinets, as i did the same a while ago and when i went to move em' one day it was not good.

Thanks Paul. Thin cloth under the Weights sorts out the marking issue. Did yours get marked bad?

Out of all the equipment you have, the turntable is the best! Vinyl is just beautiful! Agree with Chebby...you need a much more stable support for your turntable 🙂 enjoy your listening sessions!

Looking good Brett.

What's the Sony DAV running? Couldn't see any of the speakers in your pic.

The Sony:

is a deceptive little beastie, stronger than it looks. It's only 5.1, but that's all I need. It's got a digital amp, chucking out 100wpc. I was going to upgrade it, but when I replaced the Sony satellites, It sounded so good, I changed my mind. The Tannoy speakers were expensive and probably do deserve better amplification, but, til I move into the detached gaff, next year, and can really crank the system, i'll stick with the wee Sony.

It's running The Tannoy floorstanders and centre, the silver Sony sub behind the TV and these:

When you gonna chuck up some piccies, Christophe? I'm a nosey geezer, i wanna look!

I don't care that it was only temporary, I couldn't take having that bloody bit of MDF in my lounge. It had to go! I had a closer look at the feet of the TT and they are actually made of a sorbothane type material anyway, so the feet I bought were superfluous. The CDP has good isolation feet, itself, too. So, I thought: let's try this:

Now that's better!

Flukily, the deck is now dead level on both axis (and yes, it was checked with a level), when it was a bit off whent was on the MDF.

As an added bonus, it actually sounds better now. Tighter and clearer. It's a Win Win. Nice!

Nice. I bet those Rogers are superb. I'd love something that size!

Cheers, Igg. They are simply brilliant speakers, even if they are room hoggers.
