After many many years of renting we finally saved up enough for our deposit and are moved into our first home. It's a 1950's maisonette and hadn't been decorated since it was built!
The good thing was this meant I could plan the home theatre setup from scratch and hide all the cables so that the Mrs didn't get too upset with the amount of technology. In our preveious rented accomodation the amount of cables was a bit ugly...
The system is:
Fronts: B&W CM5
Centre: B&W HTM62
Rears: B&W 686
Sub: Rel T2
Amp: Marantz SR5007
TV: Samsung 55" ES8000
I'm most happy about hiding the wires from the rear speakers and tv by having them in the walls, as the whole house needed to be re-plastered this was essentially without cost. I also like the TV unit (Norstone Cinema) which neatly hides the centre speaker behind a speaker grill without impacting on sound (or at least hardly impacting on sound) - this means I can hide a lot of cables in there too.
Anyway here are some pictures, would love to hear thoughts on it and how you think I could improve it (CM Centre would be good for a start)
Cheers
Simon
