Yep it is really good for it's price, I've auditioned Samsung, Toshiba Philips and Sony all had a 200eur higher tag and much less natural looking colours for the price.

Im also inclined to get a lh4000 42 inch .guess that would be my choice on models right now, or the b620,but im to indecisive

i Grabbed at 820Eu, in Malta that is the best price for a 42 inch 100HZ tv, and am greatly satisfied, blacks wouldn.t be the darkest but i have seen samsung liked great black levels but really doesn't look that natural when comes to colour. Plus you get the extra 2 inches that proove to be useful in 21:9 Movies as the 42 becomes 40 and the 40 becomes 38.

yes i find the 42 much close to the 46 than the 40 inch, wich always seems a bit small for me

Yep Totally agree, That is one of the decisive factors for me going 42.

Needsome feedback on Front speaker Cable Currently am connecting with 1.6mm ofc cable bought at 2pounds a mtr

and a Proaudio sub cable bought from Ebay for 10 pounds

Any suggestions pls.

Yep it takes a couple of hundred cds, including large ltd edition boxes and the whole thing does not cost that much, obviously it is DIY.

Nice looking setup there

For my part, the front speaker cable sounds a little thin (i.e. too small a cross section). With that amp and those speakers, I'd go for something meatier. Also, as you've got a 5.1 set up with a 7.1 amp and big speakers, I'd be very tempted to bi-amp the front pair...

Would improve musicality, separation, etc.

But then, you might feel you need to get a better music source (scratch that upgrade itch

Yes am using the setup as 5.1 as in malta we use stone walls and tiles and it is not possible to pass wires through the floor and would need a million mtrs of cable to go all the way round, do you need I should go for thicker cable and go for some ebayish priced transparent jacket cable and bi-wire, or buy some Chord company or QED and use single amped.

The Music Source is definetely in the works...........

Incoming Upgrades (On the Way)

Tacima CS929

Chord Carnival Silverscreen for front and centre speakers.

Chord carnivals sound a fine choice for the front speakers - I'd still be tempted to bi-wire the fronts, if you can, if you're not going for 7.1...

From what everyone says, the Tacima will make a lot of difference - be interested to hear what you think once you get it in place.

Sure will let you know, I am tempted to bi-wire but with a budget you have to do things slowly, next step will be I think a budget CD player, Think I will go for the denon DCD 510 as it goes for around 260eu in malta and is a good visual match and a sure upgrade on my cd sources, as the DVD player lacks a bit of clarity and the PS3 is annoyingly bright with music.

Updated pics as Fitted new carpet, still waiting for delivery of Chord Spk cables and Tacima 929, to see the effect on global performance.
