So I got my new stylus.

They sent me the wrong sorbothane feet I had ordered — hemispheres instead of pads.

Using the run-out-groove and turn up the volume and tap on the table technique there's still significant coupling.

Let's see what the right sorbothane solves when it turns up…

I've decided to order some M6 inserts to screw in to the acrylic— and some grub screws to glue in to the feet— height adjustable.

All this messing about . . . why not just order some 'Black Ravioli' . . . :wall: ?????

Has anyone tried real ravioli?!

Althought no doubt we'd then argue about the impact of the filling on sound quality (mushroom probably best - squishy and all that. And don't you dare ask which type of mushroom!)

Sorbothane and other polymers will only ever get you so far.

For effective de-coupling you probably need to go suspension by whichever means, springs, leafs or magnetic. A wall mounted shelf may get you some way there too, depending on the wall ...

A lot less surface noise, trying the knock test on the run out groove and nothing comes through even at high volume.

More importantly music is fuller. Considering I'm using exactly the same cartridge that was on my Pro-Ject — could never have imagined the difference.
