My biggest problem with wireless earbuds would be so easy to fix – so why is it still an issue?

How do people still not know about this!?!

I have a shallow impression for my Sennheiser phone earpiece, and deep impressions for my WF-10004. On a plane with the ANC on, the engine noise is gone. And the WF-10004 has an ambient voice mode, so switching between media and talking to a stewardess is seamless

Absolutely the best user experience for any earbud, period. Not cheap, but it's the only real answer to the universal-fit problem.

I had similar to these for older wired earphones and they were great and made such a difference. I'm currently trying a pair of Sony MX5s which, despite Sony sending me a separate set of silicon ear tips, I can't get a good seal, and when I do the ANC is crap (apparently due to using the silicon tips?). I am also trying a set of Sennheiser Momentum true wireless 4s. I get a perfect seal every time and the ANC is very noticeable. While the MTW 4s do sound great though, I prefer the sound of the Sony's.

The issues with getting custom ear tips to me are 1. the cost, they are almost the cost of the earphones (both mentioned earphones I purchased on Amazon for around £180 ish) and also more importantly to me, 2. you need to take the tips off to put them back into the charging case. To me this makes it more of a hassle. and you'd need to carry a case for the ear tips with you everywhere you go. The previously mentioned set I had previously, one of the tips fell of when I removed the earphones on a bus and was never seen again. so the though of having to take them off every time I stop using them concerns me.

Why can Sennheiser manage to get a good fit so easily but Sony can't? ( I believe other manufacturers can also get great fits). I previously used a set of Sony MX3s and they and the same issue which leads me to think Sony just don't know how peoples ears work.
