My Amp Not Reading Dolby True HD!

Just been playing some Blu-rays but it is not working, any ideas? Master audio and the rest are working. The amp is a Pioneer Vsx-lx70!

Is the Blu-ray definitely set to the Dolby TrueHD soundtrack? Some older ones defaulted to the Dolby Digital and you had to manually select the TrueHD version.

I can't believe this! Yep, just put Bon Jovi in which is Dolby True HD by default and not working just says Dolby digital, how can that be? Tried the Batman's originally and went into languages but would not work!

IF there are any differences in quality of which component decodes then I'd trust the oppo more. If not, you don't lose anything.

If the Blu-ray is setup correctly (i.e. check Secondary audio isn't enabled as this defaults the main soundtrack as I remember), then sounds like the amp is faulty I'm afraid.

Yes the AVR will read PCM but you will be getting the proper soundtrack, decoded by the oppo. And turn the volume up!

Yesterday I was messing around with 3D and did change some things, but I am pretty sure I am back to how I was. One thing I can do is hook up my Pioneer Blu-ray player and see if that is working. I will do that next.

Ok. It should be working anyway so if it's not it needs replacing.

Gel,

Reset your OPPO to the factory defaults.

Then tell it to Bitstream via HDMI 1 if that is what you have connected from the player to the amp.
