GB1is a smart choice, Neat Motive 2s would work too. Spendors are a favourite with the MF people, from recollection, so the A5s would be good, if the price isn't too high at almost £1500.

Thanks Andrew I tested the GB1i's with a cyrus 8cdse prev2 and 8 power and liked it alot,at the same time I tried Spender 5se's but the pmc's were head and shoulders above. I also contacted Technosound in MK who said M/F was good with the Pmc's,Is £1000 a good price for the above Amp/cd( used demo)

Yes, a grand's pretty good, especially if they're in good nick. I just found one dealer selling an ex-dem player alone for about three-quarters of that, so it sounds a bit of a bargain.

They were originally £1000 each, IIRC.

Why don't you try the somewhat different Spendor A5?

Hi Nick, let us know what you thought of the pmc M/F combi, when you have demoed. Have the pmc's as well currently with arcam, interested in a bit more lively amp. Interesting combi with cyrus, I might think that may be on the lean side?

Nick21:What small floor standers with the above Amp/cd duo, I was thinking Pmc GB1i any other Idea's most music listened to but not much classical

Have you tried Monitor Audio? They use Musical Fidelity Gear to test their products (or at least they used to)... And I've always found the combo to have excellent synergy... Depending on your room size and budget, I'd suggest an RS6/RS8 or GS20....
