Multi-Channel Amp as DAC

Hello Everyone,

I'm about to adapt my system to music streaming and I'm looking for a way how can achieve the best sonic quality.

I have a Jadis Orchestra tube amp for stereo music and a Marantz SR5007 AV reciever for home theater. I was wondering if I would link Marantz (through pre-outs) to Jadis would result same quality as a dedicated network audio player/DAC.

I expect your Marantz AV amp will sound just fine.

I use the pre-outs on a Yamaha receiver with some active speakers and it sounds superb. I've compared the analogue output from it's pre-outs to several other high quality DAC's and it sounds audably transparent.

While I haven't tried it with a Marantz AVR there is someone I know on another forum who has and they've had the same result.
