MS-502 driver popped - modern equivalent replacements advice pls

Hi all

I've a Denon A-11 driving a Mordaunt Short THX certified set based around the MS-502 from a Pioneer SACD player and a Denon tuner.

My six year old daughter managed to pop one of the drivers in one of the front speakers - the speaker went short circuit and the amp went into self-protect shutdown. I've been in touch with Cambridge Audio who are part of the group which now owns MS, and I'm awaiting news on a spare-part replacement for the driver unit.

Can anyone advise me:

Are there other suitable driver units "out there" which I could swap into the cabinet of both front speakers?

What would a replacement alternative be (bearing in mind the MS-502 has an active sub built-in)?

All advice and thoughts will be very much appreciated, as I think it will be hard to replace these with like-for-like performance on a limited budget.

Thanks, Clive.
