Probably getting ready for the NW Audio show in a couple of weeks time in leafy Cheshire. I was thinking of popping down on the day ( it is free, and not a million miles away from me ) and I was browsing the website yesterday and noticed that IQ Speakers will be one of the exhibitors.

Until the last month he was always promoting his speakers on Ebay - in the PMC section. They've gone.

His amps have been advertised in the Electrocompaniet section. Gone.

I know he has his fingers in other pies, so perhaps he found selling little-known Nordic amps too much hassle.

As stated above he looks very busy to me in other markets with all his products so maybe he has moved UP to the next level , he certainly deserves wider recognition for his top class products considering the amount of work he has put in to his small but expanding business.

Nord Hypex NCore NC500 amps will be on show at the North West Audio Show and the importers urge visitors to come and hear why USA Audio Shark members are replacing expensive high end amps with their (from) £999 Nord Hypex amplifiers complete with discrete Voltage regulators and Op Amps.

They also build beautiful IPL Acoustic Speakers and have the Norwegian Abrahamsen Audio range in the UK.

maybe that's why he has not been on here lately because he doesn't want to get blamed for trying to sell abrahamsen on here or getting other people to do it for him . My thoughts entirely. He seems damned if he does show his face on here and also damned if he doesn't. Always seemed like a thoroughly nice guy to me and I wish him nothing but the best.

Sold the kefs about 4 months ago but used half the m9ney to repair the car lol. Ive put in an order for some atc scm11s from david fh. And when i have those ill start building the k100s.

Ah, right. Let us know your thoughts of the SCM11s and they compare with the 40s.

The 40s are great but its only a 6.5 inch driver but as the 11s will be my rears i can have music in the meantime.
Without the feeling of wanting to upgrade. Once i have them ill do a good review.

I've got a Nord stereo power amp and the ATC SCM11s (fed by Linn Majik DSM streamer). The sound is excellent and listening periods tend to be longer than before as a result. It's become harder to turn off (not a switch issue!). Maybe this is a good litmus test for great kit?

I did look at active also but decided on passive
