MPEG-4 - any experts out there?!

Does anyone know if new televisions this year already have the MPEG-4 tuners in rather than MPEG-2? I'm a little confused having read about future updates to the freeview service, with possibly HD channels available via Freeview. If the new teles being sold in shops now don't have the MPEG-4 tuners in does that mean that the freeview tuner in a modern TV will simply cease to work when digital swithcover is complete?

Well I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but as and when Freeview HD is launched, older Freeview boxes/tuners will continue to work as normal. Obviously you won't get HD though, but the service should stay the same.
