Is it OK (audio quality-wise) to mount my speaker (genelec 1030a) to a monitor arm mount? It would be a convenient option for me, but I need to know if the speaker would sound good/accurate on it.LXDeskMountLCDArmTallPole-59ee385dc4124400116b363a.jpg

Hi,
I would try it and see how it sounds.

There are many other threads on other forums where people claim to hear differences in stands or the type of feet on equipment. You naturally move you head more than any speaker movement based on vibration.

Hi,

as noted in the previous post by shadders, the thing to do is to try it. -if it sounds OK to you, then all is well.
I am not familiar with these speakers but I understand that they are studio monitors and are fairly heavy (- maybe about 17kg in weight each speaker). If this is the case the monitor arm would have t be well chosen to support this kind of weight and you may be better off searching for more substantial supports - can you find anything online on specialist seller sites maybe? (I am guessing that you have ruled out dedicated speaker stands, but these would probably also give you better result., if you have the space.
