mounting a lcd tv. best height off the floor?

hello as the heading reads really i am going to wall mount a 37inch lcd for the mother in law.

any advice what height off the floor to set it?

Eye level,ideally...

Exaxtly as dvaeh75 said the centre of the screen should idealy be at eye level from your normal viewing position.

From experiance this is even more important with a LCD over a Plasma due to the more limited viewing angles on a LCD as anyone who has ever tried viewing a LCD off axis will know.

Very true, hence the use of a soap box is recommended for us shorter guys.
