I'm a big fan of Scotland's rural areas, partly as I used to work for the Scottish Tourist Board about ten years back for two or three years and luckily landed some of the best areas anyone could ask to work in. One of which was up in Wester Ross, where this chap above, Monty Hall shacked up last summer to refurbish a cottage near Applecross.

I spent many a happy working day round this area and the programme really nails the scenery; the place looks absolutely stunning, as is true for the whole area (if not the west coast itself).

If you get the chance to see it, check it out on the BBC iPlayer. Better still, book a cottage for a week and *** on up. A good walk and a pint or two with freshly caught scallops, mussels or fish at the Applecross Inn is one of this life's treasures not to be missed for sure.
