Monitor Audio RS5 - to Bi-amp or not??

Personally I wouldn't bother with Bi-wiring, might as well just buy better speaker cables.

But Bi-amping is another thing... Some people swear by bi-amping, but some speakers don't seem to suit it. You've got 190W per channel into 6ohms, into the 6Ohm 100W RMS nominal RS5 (don't worry, MAs can handle a lot of extra power). You could give it a whirl, but I think with the amount of power and control of the sc-lx82, you may not gain anything...

Thanks Scene, I don't knw which way to go with new speaker cables. If I want to bi-amp then which cables would suit? If I single wire then I can spend twice as much on the cable.....which is the best route to go? Trying this out is kind of an expensive experiment so probably not going to happen! As I have short runs I could go to one of the better Chord or QED cables..

What cables have you got (for the fronts) at the moment? Have you got enough to try bi-amping? If not, you could borrow the cables from your rears to use to bi-amp the front pair and see what they sound like in pure direct vs. single amped...
