Hey guys, have a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 2s as my front channels and would like to add 2 back and 2 sides for a 7.1 setup. I can grab the Q Acoustic 3010s for a stellar price so do people think these two speakers are a good tonal match?

Personally I'd stick with MA Bronze. Even if you have to scout around for the previous models (BX centre, BXFX). You ought to be able to get the BX's used really cheaply now. There are plenty around, so pick your colour and don't accept anything less than mint.

Also, depending on your room layout, you have the excellent BXFX dipole/bipole rear speakers as an option. Or if you need standmounters, go for the BX1's.

I've not heard the Q Acoustics, but my understanding is that they're quite a bit warmer than the Bronzes so may not partner well. I've had a number of combinations over the years, some with identical drivers and some mix and match set-ups. The matching drivers really add that bit extra: they more convincingly trick your brain into believing it's just one complete sound field.
