Hello there,

I'm currently looking for a cheap and simple way to run both an xbox-360 and an ipod to my hifi amp (a marantz pm5004), such that I can listen to music and play games at the same time.

currently I'm looking at dj-mixers along the lines of this, but is this overkill for my needs? I never intend on dj-ing, so a lot of the features would be superfluos for me.

My current solution is to simply route all the audio through my pc and do the mixing at the software level, but this seems a little inefficient.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look for a four-channel stereo mixer on ebay. You can get them as cheap as £20, but the cheap ones are often battery-powered

Play the XBOX sound via the TV and the iPod via the hifi and adjust the volumes accordingly?
