I need a cheapish AV system

Amps I have to choose from are:

Sony STG 820 (I think) cheap at £230 ish

Denon 1909 - Prefered, but prices just went up (got to be black unfortunately)

Onkyo 606 - Middle ground I think

However, Im looking at speaker packs to go with them

The Q Accoustics 1010i seems to get good reviews - but I have heard there a little toppy? No a bad thing for definition, but I prefere a warm sound. There also the most expensive Im looking at, so may put the 1909 out of reach.

3 other sets are within price, but I havent seen review of either - so how do they compare to each other, and the 1010i. They are:

Mission MV 5.1 - getting close to 1010i price

Tannoy SFX 5.1 - can be had for £150, but are they any good

Denon SYS-57HT - around £300 so good value?

Cheapest mix is the Sony amp and Tannoy speakers at £380 which sounds a steal

Most expensive is the 1909 and 1010is at over £900 - a bit pricey for me (ideally £600-£800)

The Denon Speakers and 1909 maybe fit together, and at £800 (Black) or £700 IF the missis can live with silver could be doable?

Or I could put them with the Sony for £530.

So any of these much worse than the others? any shine?

Many thanks

The 1010i can also be used in stereo systems.thats the advantage on those.but if you only want them for av system You can't go wrong with the mission or the tannoy's.check also the jamo cubes.
