The recent Mission 750 review in WHF prompted me to consider the following for discussion :
1. The assertion that the new 750's have no heritage is flawed - my 750LE's ( bought new in 1999 for £200 during a sale at Audio Excellence ) are also 2 way ported standmounters - don't they count ?
2. I know my model has internal faces to the cabinetry machined with curved grooves to control unwanted resonances ( see pic.of WHF Sept.'97 test )
Do Mission go this far on the new model, to justify the price ?
3. In 2001, we had the misfortune to suffer a lightning strike on the house damaging, amongst other things, the bass drivers of my Missions. A quick e-mail to them resulted in me buying 2 new drivers for £49, fitted them myself and fine ever since !
Could new Mission buyers expect the same level of spares provision and customer care in 2025 ?
Happy New Year, all.
