I am looking to upgrade my speaker+receiver combo that is set up in my living room. Music would be streamed primarily on Spotify and Chromecast (using google home mini). I mainly listen to electronic music and also jazz and easy listening. A vinyl player with builtin in pre-amp would also be connected.

I currently have a pair of Polk RTi A1 speakers and if my sensibility prevails, I'll just get a Streamer + DAC + Amplifier now and upgrade the speakers later.

At the moment, I am looking at the Marantz PM7000N + Uni-Fi 2.0 UB52, but I'm interested in what you all think would be a worthwhile combination:

Streamer + DAC
  • Bluesound Node 2i (C$ 649)

Powered Speakers
  • Kanto Tuk (C$ 999)
  • Klipsch The Sixes (C$ 1,098)

Streamer + DAC + Amplifier
  • Bluesound Powernode 2i (C$ 1,099)
  • Marantz PM7000N (C$ 1,499)

Passive Speakers
  • Klipsch RP-600M (C$ 849)
  • ELAC Debut 2.0 B6.2 (C$ 369)
  • ELAC Debut Reference DBR62 (C$ 699)
  • Uni-Fi 2.0 UB52 (C$ 799)
Thanks!

If you want a one-box thing, the Marantz is great. The software on the Bluesound is better, though, so you could do worse than a Powernode or get a Node + Rega Brio + Elac or Dali.

Also, if you don't mind sh, look for a Naim Unitiqute 2.
