Mini hi fi upgrade

Will a new budget amplifier or second-hand for under £200 be a good upgrade from a mini hi fi? (I'm not naming brands yetr due to trouble posting).

I'm many hours drive from a hi-fi shop so diffucult to just try stuff out at the thinking stage.

Denon DM38 is the mini hifi. Looking at £2-300 to replace it. Probably less second hand.

Denon DM 39 is better.
and I believe next year Denon will releasing new ones, maybe with Internet and Bluetooth.

answering the original question is not easy as there is not enough data.

if the original mini HiFi is good enough, maybe budget amplifier is not much different than the mini Hifi. IMHO
