I plan to buy Micro HiFi

Denon D-M39DAB

http://www.whathifi.com/review/denon-d-m39dab

or Onkyo CR-N755

http://www.whathifi.com/review/onkyo-cr-n755

or Marantz M-CR610

http://www.whathifi.com/review/marantz-m-cr610

When I read the spec, most of it only about 2x30W. Only Marantz M-CR610 have 2x 60 W

I just check my friend Teac Micro Hifi and found the Amplifier unit is very small and using IC instead of Transistor

How about other models ? do they use IC ? If anybody have the photos it will be great.

Thank you

Agree! on paper spec onkyo n755 seems to have better components. But Denon D-M39 sound more musical and detailed than onkyo 755.

Don't just instantly dismiss a product just because it uses IC amplification. Listening to it is the only way to judge.

what's inside is simply irrelevant. m-cr510 sounds better or same than PM6004/ Arcam rDac combo and for less money.. quite often mini systems sold with speakers sounds really good to the point where buying separates is questionable.

good luck

Hello LV.

you mean better to buy a set ? instead of separate like onkyo CR-N755 ?

But whathifi also tested using Q accoustic speaker and it is better than the package speaker.

Another question about micro hifi.

do you think we will found microhifi with DVD player ? and HDMI out ? so we can watch film.

I see local brand already releasing this kind of products.

I also hoping the support of lossless format

some mini systems that comes with the speakers are really well put together, like mine old little Sony.

the one and only way is to listen yourself

Although I’ve not heard the M-CR610 I used to own its predecessor the M-CR603 and it is noticeably better than the DM39, particularly if you like to listen at higher volumes or with less sensitive speakers.

I’ve also previously owned the 6003 CDP/amp combo and the 603 stacked up very well against it indeed. I wouldn’t like to say which is “better” as they had different presentations to my ears, both of which I liked. The 6003’s I would say were a bit more laid back whereas the 603 was a bit more forward, but if you’re looking for a one box solution then you won’t go wrong with the Marantz.

Thanks lpv,

the problems is if I buy all unit from singapore to my country is difficult to carry alone. so maybe need to consider buying locally.

Thanks Sizzers,

so, you compare M-CR603 and DM39 ? what speaker you use for M-CR603 ?

It is not too important. as I plan to upgrade the component. so the warranty will be void.

The price in my country

http://www.audiocentre.co.id/category.php?main=19

Denon M39 Rp 5.750.000 or around SGD 638.
meanwhile you say SGD 550 and I can claim the GST, say it 35

But i might consider

Onkyo CR-N755 or Marantz. because bringing speaker is difficult

http://www.audiocentre.co.id/category.php?main=19

Marantz CR610 Rp 8.950.000/ SGD 994

CR 510 Rp 7.250.000 / SGD 805

CR 603 Rp 6.900.000 / SGD 766

A mixture of Focal 706V, Rega RS!, and Dali Lektor 1.

With hindsight the Focal’s were the best but foolishly I sold them.

Dear Sizzers,

I plan to purchase either of three (Marantz 603/denon M39/Onkyo N755) and pair them with Wharfdale Diomond 220 speakers. I mostly listen to rock (Dire starits, Guns & Roses kind and country music ). I am looking for deep detailed sound at low/mid volumes with tight and respectable bass. Demo of all may not be possible as the systems have to be pre ordered as they are not readily available in my country.

Please suggest the best fit. You may recommend another speakers in the similar price bracket.

Thanks
