Meridian Speaker - ok or just overpriced?

Hi - after hearing a Meridian system and being very impressed, I wondered if many use Meridian speakers? Iv seen their CD players normally get 4/5 stars, but havent seen anything on the amps or speakers? Are the speakers used much, Or are they just too expensive and better options for the price? Are their many reviews around, just out of interest? Thanks!
