Hello everyone.

You will have to excuse me as i have absolutely no knowledge on Turntables.

I'm toying with the idea of adding a Turntable to the M80 but not sure how to do it, i have never owned a TT before and do not currently own any LP's although my Dad does have around 20 or 30 LP's from the 60's & 70's.

The main reason for adding a TT is to hopefully beat the Loudness issues found on so many modern Albums.

I understand i will need a analogue to mini toslink lead and a Phono Stage. I would like to rip the Vinyl to my pc to check waveforms on Audacity and DR with Foobar so am i correct in thinking along the lines of say any decent Project or Rega TT with a Rega Fono Mini A2D?

That sounds about right.

If you don't mind going S/H there are bargains to be had

Analogue to mini toslink? Not sure what you mean by this? toslink is another name for optical i.e. a digital connection.

The Meridian M80 doesn't take full blown Optical, just mini-toslink, I think that's right anyway lol
