Matching Speakers to Amplifier

Hi guys I'm a little confused and just wanted some help in explaining to me....how I know if my amplifier is powerfull enough to drive a pair of speakers.....

My amplifier is rated as 45W x 2 (8 ohms load) or 60W x 2 (4 ohms load)

So from this is it a fact the lower the ohms load on a speaker the easier it is drive??
