hello all,

can the marantz drive / give justice to the dyns? because one dealer told me that i need at least 100W / channel amp to drive the dyns well, is it also applied to the DM range?

if not, which amp shld i be looking for to drive the dyns?

thanks.

You don't need 100 W. I'm using my Dynaudio Focus 110 with Primare I21 (75 watts) and it has more than enough juice to drive it.

Marantz may not match well with Dyns as the speaker characteristics tend to provide a fuller sound. My understanding is that Marantz has a leaner sound.

Try auditioning it though cause you may like the sound.

Plinius and Primare seems to go very well with Dyns.

thing is i can't audition the dyns with some electronics as im buying it 2nd hand. how about creek destiny or nad 355bee? do you think it can drive the dyns?

thanks for your help.

Hi link

The NAD C355BEE will power (the amp has more than enough current) and perform well with Dynaudio's DM 2/7 speakers.

Btw, i have been using NAD's C325BEE amp (receiving signals from the Chord Electronics QBD76!) with Dynaudio's DM 2/7 and Excite12 speakers for much of the time over the last few months. And it sound just fine.
