hi just wondering if anyone could recommend floorstanding speakers for these two amps have listened to the pm6003 with wharfdale diamond 10.4 anybody now of any suggestions which would be a better match for these my maxium budget would be £500 nfor speakers.

Monitor Audio BX5 or possibly newer Kefs. It's a tricky one because both will excel with different speakers. This is the perfect scenario to audition and the dealer will recommend based on your budget and musical preference.

Hey. I have a Marantz CD6003 and PM6003 that I use in conjunction with a pair of Monitor Audio BR5s (now replaced with the better BX5s) that sound absolutely brilliant together once they're run in. Their only downfall, and I think you may find this with any floorstander to be honest, is that due to the lower power rating of the amp it sounds best when you give it a bit of juice!

It's certainly worth a listen, and the new BX5s fall (just) within your £500 budget.

Hope that's of use.

Hi emcc_3

Monitor Audio's superb new BX5's are worth considering. If you haven't already done so then as an alternative amplifier Yamaha's new A-S500 is also worth serious consideration. Imo the A-S500 offers a clear step up in performance over the PM6003 and the RA-04SE.

All the best

i find the same with this setup but the wharfedale 9.1 , you have to turn it up due to the low power rating of the amp . i would choose something with a 8ohm rating if possible .

Along with the Monitor Audio BX5's, try the Acoustic Energy Neo V2 3's. Either of the amplifiers you mention will work very well with them.

Although you could pick up a pair of BR5's, which will allow you a little more budget for your amplifier. Speakers like power

Would the NAD 326 bee be a better fit for these speakers? Its just that i could demo these at peter tyson in carlisle
