Marantz NR1603 - L/R pre outs

The Marantz seems to only have L/R pre-outs. Does anyone know if I can take the pre-outs to the AV unity gain on my Naim to run the front speakers, and use the Marantz to provide centre, rear, and front height amplification? Or will the machine not permit that set-up?

Any thoughts welcomed.

Not sure the machine offers the facility for front height speakers, but the rest should be fine.

Thanks PP - I actually ended up buying an Oppo 103 and Naim NAPV175 three channel amplifier. A/V unity gain not the greatest, so reverted back to a dedicated A/V Amp and will try again when in a new house.

The 103 is good - not sure whether (given a second chance) I can justify it as a cost benefit upgrade from my Sony 370, but luckily I don't need to make such a justification. If I could get it working better as a processor, I'd be happier.

In the new home, I'll run the 103 as a processor into a Naim rig - and will take the time to get it to work. I just got frustrated to date with the process, so gave up. Perhaps this bank holiday I'll give it another go.
