marantz cd7300 v.marantz cd6002-which one to go for?

the system i have is marantz cd7300,marantz pm7200 and mission m35 floorstanders with chord odyssey cable and chord cobra interconnects.im thinking of changing the cd7300 for a cd6002 which has had cracking reviews from every quarter.has anyone out there compared these 2 cd players yet?i dont know what to do at the moment.help,anyone.

Although I have not heared the Marantz cd6002 and have heared a cd7300 which is a fine cdp,I dont think you will get a vast improvement.I think to get more of an improvement you will have to go to the budget of a Cyrus cd6.Which should open up a whole new world for you.I had a simerler system about 3 years ago and it did for me but my advise is to demo at a dealers. Even it the 6002 is better, I feel it not worthwhile upgrading to it as the CD7300 already very very good. How about new pair of speakers?? That the one I would change!

Yes it would be a sideways move,something like monitor audios to give the marantz duo a bit of zing ! Chris C.
