Hi all. Will there be a big difference in sound quality if I choose to buy the marantz cd-5003 for £150 over the Marantz cd-6002 for £229? The former was £199 before so I would save around £50. Please help me decide. Thanks.

Just in case, if there is even a slight difference in quality, 50 pounds is not an amount for not to get the better player.
You could check out - if you can get one on a deal - the Marantz SA7001-KI, which one place had for less than half price at £300 a while back. Unlikely that deal is still on the go (Hughes Electrical in East Anglia, check their site just in case). If you get it, or the standard model (which perversely was £50 more at standard TSP!), you have an excellent CD/stereo SACD player, but it needs a beefy amp to drive the bass, so partner with care. Alternatively, use a solid core copper interconnect, wires like van den hul's "The Name" will be money wasted with it. Nordost Blue Heaven is an ideal partner.
