Marantz CD 6002 Repair?

My 6002 has just stopped working, it has been on for about an hour this morning and now will not play any discs, front screen indicates that there is no disc, its as if it can't spin them.

Is it worth repairing and are there any places in the south west around Bristol

I`ve no info as to repair places in your area but it sounds like a simple enough fix so is well worth repairing. You say it was on for an hour before you had a problem, was it playing ok in that hour?

It was playing ok, just stopped with Error on the screen and that changed to no disc.

Its ot ow warrants so I removed the lid, tray slided in and out, the lense unit tracks, drive motor lifts to engage but does not spin.
