Hi all
While my two sons have been home from uni for xmas i have been using their laptops (i don't own one) to listen to Spotify . I have been impressed with the range of music available and the sound quality ,however one problem i have had is excessive hissing and crackling when either laptop is connected to the mains. When you remove the psu the noise stops.- From the laptop to the Caiman is via usb.
I have a couple of question:-
1. Would this be solved using an optical lead? Unfortunately both laptops are Dell with no optical out.
2. Having a quick search on google for this problem, it would appear a 'ground loop isolator' may solve the problem.Have any of you good people used this solution?
Thanks
dave
