Mains filter question

I've just orded a Tacima CS929 mains filter after reading the positive review on the What Hifi website. Now I understand that it will filter out interference coming from the mains wall plug, but will it also filter out any interferance from other electrical appliances that are plugged into it.

To give an example of what I mean, I will be plugging both my PC and AV receiver into it. Does this mean that the receiver may still be able to get some interference coming from the PC?

Thanks in advance

I understand that it will remove any 'noise' that is coming out of the mains wall socket but can any 'noise' be transmitted via the filter between devices that are plugged into it.

Here's an example. If there was a hifi plugged into the filter and I ran an electrical drill from a different socket on the other side of the room any electrical 'noise' caused by the drill that would get passed through the houses wiring to the mains socket that the hifi is plugged into should get removed by the filter. However if I plugged both the hifi and the drill into the filter would the 'noise' from the drill get tranfired to the hifi through the multi socket part of the filter?

I guess what I'm asking is does the mains get filtered once as it comes out of the wall and then get passed on to the multi socket part or does each of the six sockets get indevidually filtered?

The Tacima does not filter individual components; therefore, any interference generated by one item connected to the Tacima will be (might be) passed on to any other component similalry connected to it. For individual component isolation/filtering, you'd need to consider units similar to those that Isotek offer, or the PureAV PF30/40/50/60 as examples (the later being offered very cheaply recently, for which there are a couple of threads explaining how they work in the "Accessories" section of this forum).

Edit: Sorry, the thread I was thinking about is here in the "Hot Deals" section: http://community.whathifi.com/forums/t/516095.aspx
